SANTA CLARA, CALIF., SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 Arula Systems Inc., providers of solutions for access, monitoring and remote automated management of devices over the Internet, today announced it has named Murrali Rangarajan as president.
Arula Systems provides solutions that help companies improve their bottom line by optimizing their access, monitoring and remote control of costly and resource intensive IT departments. Arula secure remote network management appliances deliver standardized and efficient console access and control for all servers and networking devices to enterprise data centers, hosting services and professional service providers.
Mr. Rangarajan will be responsible for all aspects of the companys growth with emphasis on a partnership oriented approach to solutions deployment and a broad-based platform as infrastructure. Mr. Rangarajans experience leading complex engineering, product development, manufacturing, sales and marketing efforts will be key to scaling the organization towards broad-based solutions evolution and development.
Mr. Rangarajan joins Arula from iLogistix where he served as CEO and president of the supply chain management company. Prior to this role, Mr. Rangarajan served in senior manufacturing and product planning positions for Digital Equipment Company and Ford Motor Company in Europe. He is also an advisor and board member for a number of start-up companies and a frequent speaker in the areas of B2B businesses, business operations scaling, supply chain design and management and corporate culture in high growth and high performance organizations.

Mr. Rangarajan holds a MBA from UCLA, a Masters degree in engineering from Arizona State University and a Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from IIT Madras. He is also a charter member of TiE (The Indus Entrepreneurs).
